Demo mode without API keys
If no AI API key is configured in the build, the app runs in demo mode with sample translations. Add keys in a development build or use a production build with keys configured for full translation.
Microphone & speech
Grant microphone and speech recognition permissions in iOS Settings for voice input. Denying them limits voice translation but text input still works.
Custom characters
Add characters with name, relationship, tone level, and an optional photo from your library. Photos are only accessed when you pick an avatar.

Conversations and flashcards are stored locally on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details on AI providers and your rights.
